Тема: Харчування.

Підтема: Національна кухня Великобританії. (Traditional British Meals)

Тип уроку: Урок засвоєння нових знань, умінь і навичок

Мета уроку: повторити ЛО з теми «Food»; ознайомити учнів з традиціями та звичаями харчування у Великій Британії; збагачувати їхній активний словник; пояснити правила утворення та вживання умовних речень ІІ типу в англійській мові; розвивати культуру монологічного та діалогічного іншомовного мовлення; уміння сприймати та розуміти зміст тексту на слух; висловлювати та обґрунтовувати свою думку; виховувати повагу до звичаїв і традицій народу, мова якого вивчається; культуру здорового харчування; інформаційно-комунікаційну компетентність; уміння працювати у парі задля досягнення спільного результату.

Обладнання: підручник «English 10» (автор Оксана Карпюк), комп’ютер, проектор, ілюстрації по темі уроку.

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Привітання, організація учнів до уроку. Greeting.

Teacher: Good morning, students. I am glad to see everyone. How are you? I hope you are fine.

What is the day\ date today? Who is absent today? Are you ready for the lesson? So, don’t be afraid, don’t sleep, be active and our lesson will be as cool as usual.

Teacher: Today we start learning new and interesting topic. But what topic is it? You will know this only after you guess the crossword.

Teacher: So, as you understand today we will talk about cuisine, our topic today is “Traditional British Meals”. You will learn about British meals, their traditional dishes and preferences in eating. We’ll also remind the words from the topic “Food” and learn the rules of making and using the 2^nd Conditionals.

І. Listening.

Listen to the text and complete the table. Answer the questions.

What is the most famous traditional British dessert? (Pudding)

Vocabulary Practice.

Teacher: You have already got some information about British Food, let’s brainstorm it with the help of presentation “Traditional British Meals”. I will show you the picture, you must say what dish is it.

Grammar.

Teacher: Watch the video “2^nd Conditionals” and do an exercise 5 on page 60.

Exercise “Englishman’s plate”

You can see 3 plates at the blackboard: Breakfast plate, Dinner Plate and High Tea plate. Write what the Englishmen eat during these mealtimes and put your sheets of paper on the right plate. (Task for different rows)
