Мета:

Практична:активізувати вживання лексики по темі уроку, удосконалювати навички говоріння, письма, читання, аудіювання; підготувати учнів до самостійного висловлювання по темі; удосконалювати синтаксичні навички; закріпити граматичний матеріал з теми Present Perfect.

Освітня: поглибити знання учнів про визначні місця Лондона.

Розвиваюча:розвивати уяву, пам’ять, мовну здогадку та мовленнєву реакцію учнів; готовність до практичного використання знань.

Виховна: виховувати інтерес до культури Лондона, формувати шанобливе ставлення до пам’яток культури країни, мову якої вивчаємо.

Обладнання уроку:мультимедійна дошка, ноутбук, роздатковий матеріал, ілюстрації по темі, проектор, презентації до уроку.

Тип уроку:урок узагальнення знань.

                                  Хід уроку:

I. Початок уроку.

1. Organization moment. (Віршик – привітання).

T. Good morning, dear children! Good morning, dear guest! Welcome to our lesson. I am glad to see you. How are you?

Ch. I am fine, thanks.

T. I’m fine too. If you are ready, let’s begin our lesson.

2. Warm up.

T. Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. Look at the board, lease and tell what are we going to speak about? (The smartest 4,5,5,2,5,5), (цифри на дошці) Слайд 1

Ch. We’ll speak about London. (Слайд 2)

T. Our topic is «London». Today we are going a very interesting topic – London. You’ll learn a lot about its places of interesting. We are going to have an excursion – lesson one of the most beautiful cities in the world is London. We are going to revise grammar Present Perfect; make up dialogues. I hope the information you’ll learn during our lesson will be interesting and useful for you. (Слайд 2, 3,4)

T. We’ll begin our lesson with a poem about London. Look at the blackboard, let’s read the poem about London together:

London is a busy town,

A capital with a queen and crown,

With a huge glass, wheel called the London Eye,

And a big brick clock called the Big Ben by.

II. Main part.

2. Розповідь вчителя про Лондон. (Слайд 6)

     London is the capital of Great Britain. It is one of the most interesting cities in the world.  About eight million people live here. There is a big river in London. It is the Thames. There are about 10 thousand streets in London. There are lots of places of interest in London with a lot of shops and cafes, cinemas and theatres, galleries and museums.

     There are four parts in London: the City, Westminster, the West End and the East End.

3. Excursion around London.

There many guests at our lesson today. Let’s have an excursion around London. You are the guides.

The Thames. (Cлайд 7)

 It is a big river. London stand on it. There are a lot of Bridges over the river.

Tower Bridge. (Слайд 8)

It is the most famous bridge over the Thames. It is more than 100 years old. This bridge opens in the middle.

The Tower of  London. (Слайд 9)

From Tower Bridge you can see the Tower of London. It is an ancient fortress. It was built 900 years ago. But now is a museum. There are hundreds of interesting collections in it.

Trafalgar Square. (Слайд 10)

We are in centre of London. Look, here is Trafalgar Square. In the centre of the square there is a monument to Admiral Nelson. It is called the Nelson Column. He is a famous person in the history of the country.

Buckingham  Palace. (Слайд 11)        

It is the home of the Queen. When the flag is flying the Queen is at home.  Buckingham  Palace  is a small town. There 600 rooms and there miles of red carpet. About 700 people work in the Palace.

Churches. Westminster Abbey. (Слайд 12)

You can see splendid churches in the city. Westminster Abbey is one of the oldest royal churches.

St.Paul’s Cathedral. (Слайд13)

St.Paul’s Cathedral is the most wonderful classical church in Britain and it is second large church in Europe.

Big Ben. (Слайд 14)

There is a famous clock in London called Big Ben. Big Ben is the name of the clock and the bell. The bell weights 13 tons. It’s the most famous tower of Houses of Parliament. It is the seat of the British government.

London Eye. (Слайд 15)

It’s the place where Londoners and tourists may have a rest. It is the third biggest observation wheel in the world. It was built in 1995. It consists of lots of parts. It is called «London Eye».

Madame Tussaud’s museum. (Слайд 16)

It is the world’s most famous wax museum. Here you can see historical characters, modern celebrities, film stars and musicians.
