Комбінований урок

(Урок засвоєння знань, навичок І умінь, творче застосування їх на практиці в нестандартних умовах)

І. Орієнтація, мотивація діяльності

Урок зорієнтовано на сприяння розвитку пізнавальних процесів в учнів(швидкості сприйняття, пам’яті, уваги, мислення, мовлення)

Формування якості особистості учнів  у контексті набуття соціальних і громадянських компетентностей (формування моделей поведінки необхідної для ефективної та конструктивної участі у громадському житті, на роботі:ініціативності, громадянської активності ,працелюбства, дисциплінованості );

Формування уміння усно і письмово висловлюватися іноземною мовою і тлумачити поняття  у широкому діапазоні соціокультурних контекстів

Інтелектуальна розминка:

Do “Warm Up”, p.39

In pairs , ask and answer the four questions; then retell information  about your  partner.

Students read the questions and ask them to the partner; then listen to the answers (make notes) and retell to the class.

For example:

1. During summer Ann worked as a tourist guide/ She hasn`t had any summer jobs because … .
2. As for Bill, a good job should be … . He would like to  have … . Ideally, he would like his job to include possibilities for … .
3. Mary thinks that the salary is … important/ unimportant in accepting of job offer. She wouldn`t mind a lower-paying job if it was … interesting/uninteresting for her.
4. Tom thinks a boss always likes … . The features that a boss wouldn`t like to see are … .

Сприяти розширенню кругозору; розумінню важливості і соціальної значущості різних професій; розвинути самооцінку і почуття взаємоповаги

Постановка проблемних питань:

1. Which traits of character are important for getting a good job?
2. What skills are important for the employers?
3. What kind of experience should an employee gain before getting a highly-paid job?

In pairs, students make a top five list of their favourite professions. After that they compare their lists and explain the differences or the matches.

Theme of the lesson: Professions in Ukraine

Мета уроку (освітня): ознайомити учнів з новими лексичними одиницями і словосполученнями з теми; актуалізувати попередньо засвоєний матеріал; підвищити рівень володіння лексикою з теми: «Професії»

Outcomes (educational values):

1. To introduce the topic of the lesson
2. To learn vocabulary on the topic
3. To develop communicative competence

Мета уроку (розвиваюча): сформувати наступні групи компетентностей: спілкування іноземними мовами , а саме: уміння сприймати інформацію, подану англійською мовою і контекстуально тлумачити думки; інформаційно-цифрова компетентність, а саме: уміння впевнено застосовувати інформаційно-комунікаційні технології у поєднанні з критичним аналізом отриманої інформації; соціальні і громадянські компетентності, а саме: уміння співпрацювати з оточуючими для досягнення запланованого результату; загальнокультурна грамотність, а саме: уміння виражати думки за допомогою мистецтва, усвідомлюючи власну національну ідентичність як основу до коректного сприйняття інших культур.

Outcomes (bringing-up values):

1. To enhance students` understanding of making the corresponding career choice
2. To develop tolerance  and a sense of respect for others
3. To raise the level of self-esteem!

2. Мотивація навчальної діяльності (необхідність знання матеріалу)

Мотивація: продемонструвати важливість оволодіння фонетичними, лексичними, граматичними засобами спілкування, створюючи мовленнєві ситуації  їх практичного застосування у процесі навчання в умовах, що моделюють ситуації реального спілкування; зацікавити у вивченні культури інших народів з метою формування соціальної і громадянської компетентності важливої для діяльності учнів у сфері міжнародної співпраці.

3. Визначення очікуваних результатів

Результат уроку:

1. Учні розуміють значення нових лексичних одиниць і словосполучень
2. Учні можуть використовувати лексику з теми: «Професії» для висловлення власної думки в іншомовному спілкуванні
3. Учні набувають соціокультурних знань, що сприяє набуттю загальнокультурної та соціальної і громадянської компетентності
4. Учні застосовують набуті знання, вступаючи у міжкультурний діалог

Актуалізація: Teacher cuts the cards and give them to the students. Individually, students think of the traits of character the definite profession needs. Then the students compare their answers.

In pairs students match the jobs and skills they need for doing them

Listen to English definitions and try to give Ukrainian equivalents to the words. Then exchange your worksheets.

Safety – a state or a place where you are not in danger – безпека

A vacancy – a job that no one is doing and is available for someone new to do – вакансія

To apply – to request doing something, usually officially in writing – подавати заяву

To graduate (from) – to complete a vocational school, college or university successfully  - закінчити навчальний заклад із отриманням диплому

To offer – to ask smb if they would like to have smth/to do smth – пропонувати

To be responsible for – to have an authority over smth/smb and the duty of taking care of it/ them – бути відповідальним

To be satisfied with – be pleased because of smth – бути задоволеним

To be well-paid – a person or a job with a good salary – бути добре оплачуваним

Listen to the job advertisements and skim them. Find the words from the “Words for you” box. Name the jobs mentioned in the ads.

Read the ads again and match them with the definitions from the exercise. Check the answers.

Complete the table with your own variants. Then change the verbs into the nouns and put them into the appropriate column according to the way of word- formation:

Read the questions and write a brief passage about jobs in Ukraine. Your work should be divided into paragraphs.Listen to the instructions:

2. Main part: prestigious jobs; not prestigious jobs; well-paid jobs; jobs that require a lot of training; stressful/dangerous jobs; jobs that have long holidays (I am sure… I am certain… In my opinion… In addition…)
