Квест  «It’s Tasty!»

Мета.

•  Організувати активне дозвілля учнів, закріпити знання та навички набуті під час вивчення теми «Харчування»
• Удосконалювати навички усного  мовлення, читання, аудіювання та письма.
• Розширювати знання учнів про харчування у Великобританії та Україні;
• Створити умови для виховання  в учнів поняття про корисні та некорисні продукти харчування.

Очікувані результати.

Після уроку учні:

• правильно вживатимуть лексичні одиниці з даної теми;
• вирізнятимуть потрібну інформацію з даної теми;
• спілкуватимуться у межах обраної тематики;
• чітко та обґрунтовано висловлюватимуть свою думку;
• удосконалять вміння творчо працювати.

Тип уроку. Урок практичного застосування знань, навичок та умінь.

Обладнання. Ноутбук, мультимедійний проектор, дидактичні матеріали, презентація із теми уроку.

І. Підготовчий етап.

1.  Перевірка готовності класу до уроку.

2.  Активізація пізнавальної діяльності учнів.

ІІ. Мотиваційний етап.

Dear friends! I’m glad to meet you again in our English lesson. Today we have an interesting and  unusual lesson on the topic «It’s Tasty!» “.

I hope that you are fine and ready for our lesson. Well, let’s start!

 I prepared an unusual task for you today. Now you have to try to divide these words and write this sentence correctly.

Peoplemusteatthehealthyfood.

People must eat the healthy food.

As you see, our sentence is connected with eating. So, the theme of our lesson will be food  and cooking.

ІІІ. Основний етап.

1. Визначення навчальних цілей, правил квесту.

The rules of the Quest

1. Time of staying at one station is 8 minutes.
2. If time is out, the coordinator will shut down.
3. The task for the change-over to the next station is given only after the task is solved.
4. Coordinator do not has the right to give hints and help.
5. For noise – penalty 2 points for the task.

2. Реалізація квесту.

Station 1 «Idioms»

Завдання 1.

Match the idioms with their definitions.

1.I am as hungry                     a) keeps the doctor away.

2. Don’t live to eat,                 b) as a hunter.

3.Eat at pleasure,                     c) but eat to live.

4.An apple a day                      d) drink with measure.

1.               I am as hungry as a hunter.

Я голодний як вовк.

2.               Don’t live to eat, but eat to live.

Не жити, щоб їсти, а їсти, щоб жити.

3.               Eat at pleasure, drink with measure.

Їж досхочу, пий в міру.

4.               An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Одне яблуко на день позбавить від лікаря.

Завдання 2 ви знайдете  у  особи,  who  is a pupil of 11^th form.  He is the tallest boy in the class.

Station 2 « Ukrainian  Food»

What is the name of this Ukrainian dish?

1.               Cabbage soup.  (kapusniak)
2.               Cabbage leaves are  used in making cabbage roles (holubtsi)
3.               The favourite dishes made of  flour with different types of filling. ( varenyky)
4.               Dishes made from either fresh or dried fruit. ( usvar)
5.               The most  popular Ukrainian  soup. ( borsch)

Завдання 3 ви знайдете  у  особи, who cooks delicious  dinners.

Station 3 « Sandwich»

Make a sandwich.

1.               Take two slices of your favourite bread.
2.               Put mustard on the bottom slice of bread, and mayonnaise on the top slice.
3.               Choose your cheese for the sandwich. Put some cheese on the bread.
4.               Put one or two slices of tomatoes on the top of cheese.
5.               Put a few leaves of lettuce on the top of the tomatoes.
6.               Lay two slices of thin ham on the  lettuce. Gently fold  the ham in half and lay them next to each other.
7.               Lay the slice of bread with mustard on top of the sandwich.
8.               Serve the sandwich on a medium sized plate. Serve with chips and a drink of your choice.

Station 4 « Pizza»

Order food by phone.

•                   Hello. How can I help you?
•                   Hi. I’d like to order food, please.
•                   What would you like to order?
•                   I’d like one Big pizza and vegetarian spring roll.
•                   Good choice. Anything else?
•                   Yes. Seafood salad.
•                   Great. Would you like any drinks?
•                   No, thanks. That’s everything.

Завдання 5 ви знайдете  у  особи, who is a pupil of  11^th form.  He is the best football player.

Station 5 « English tea»

1.               When do English people drink tea?
2.               What do the English usually have at tea-time?
3.               What do the English usually have  for “high tea”?

English people drink a lot of tea. Some English people have tea for breakfast, tea in the middle of the morning, tea after dinner, tea in the middle of the afternoon,  tea at tea-time and with supper.

At work they take five or ten minutes in the middle of the morning and afternoon to have a cup of tea.

At tea-time they have one, two, three or more cups of tea, bread and butter, or cakes.

Some English families have “high tea” or “big tea” and no supper. For “high tea” they may have meat, bread and butter, cakes and, of course, a lot of tea.

The English always drink tea out of cups, never out of glasses. In England people usually drink tea with sugar and milk.
