І. The Beginning of the Lesson

Greeting, aim

T:Good morning, сhildren! I’m glad to see you!

Ps: Good morning, teacher! We are glad to see you, too!

T: Sit down, please. The theme of our lesson is “My favourite clothes ”. By the way, do you like going shopping and buying clothes? Look at the board and choose the variant.

P1: I like going shopping because I want to help my Mum.

P2: I like going shopping because it is a great fun.

P3: I like going shopping because I like buying new things.

P4: I like going shopping because it is exciting.

T: So, I see. This topic is interesting for you. And during the lesson we are going to:

- Review the active vocabulary;

- Make up sentences and dialogues about “ Shopping”;

- Practice listening and speaking;

Warming-up

Pronunciation

1) Listen and say. What do you usually wear: at school? at a party? on a hot or sunny day? when it is raining and it is cold?

I usually wear … at a party. etc.

Review active vocabulary

2a) T: Let’s review the items of clothes. Listen and click on the right picture.

2b) Listen to the dialogue and click on the right picture.

3) Look at the puzzle. Let’s check the spelling of the words. Click and drag to find the words.

4) And now, open your books at page 18. Write the words for the clothes, as in the example.

5) Let’s play a game, which is called “Dobbles”. Each card shares one picture with every other card in the set. During the game be the first to find a match on their card with another card quicker than other participants. The pictures are printed in different sizes and randomly placed for a more exciting game.

6) Look at the picture and say what Martha and Tony are wearing. What are you wearing now?

I am wearing trousers, a sweater and boots.
