         The pupils of the fifth form gather in a school café. To choose 10 participants the qualifying round is held. Each pupil gets the tasks.

Teaches: Dear pupils and quests!

We are glad to see you on our quiz «How well do you know English? ». Our participants are the pupils of the 5^th B form.

You will have three rounds and all participants and winners will be rewarded by certificates. I wish you good luck! Be very attentive! We've come to Round I of our competition. Your task is to choose the correct answer (a, b, c, d). The first ten pupils, who answer correctly, will take a part in the second round. Good luck!

The first round

          Pupils do the task and then juries check and choose 10 participants.

Task 2 In this task pupils are to guess the riddles.

The third round

Find the names of the sports and cross it.

Keys: Across:

Stadium, game, wrestling athletics. draughts, boxing, run, rugby, chess, prize, hockey, competition, player, jump.

Down:

Team, swimming pool, train, health, skiing, match, victory, ball, fencing.

While juries are counting all the points the most active fan is being selected.

Additional round – is to write to each letter a word (F A V O U R I T E).
