Копія з тесту: Reading. My Holidays
Приклад запитання: My HolidaysOn New Year's Eve a few years ago, I decided  to go skiing for the first time with two friends. They are the complete opposite of me in that they are really brave and fearless - they've been skiing and diving all their lives, whereas I'm a bit of a coward. Surprisingly, however, I enjoyed it very much and  the second we went I felt much more confident and decided to move away from skiing on the nursery slopes. I was doing really well skiing down quite a steep slope when I heard one of my friends say, "Wow, Barbara, you're moving fast!" I thought, "Yes, I am, aren't I — but how do I stop?" Suddenly all my confidence left me and I fell very badly. I didn't break anything but I twisted my knee. The rest of the holiday was spent sitting on top of the mountain, looking after everybody's bags and coats. If I'm honest, I prefer going somewhere hot and sunny for a holiday, I love going to Thailand, for example, and staying in one of the beautiful resorts on the coast. The people are extremely friendly and in one hotel we stayed at we got to know the chef quite well and he would take us round the market with him. And one of the waiters took us to visit his uncle who owns a coconut farm. It's only in ways like this that you begin to get a feel for the country and its people, as these kinds of opportunities are not available for the average tourist.I'm not a rough-it kind of person: I did enough of that when I was younger. The trouble with me is that I have a genuine problem with mosquitoes -they absolutely adore me! If I get bitten, the bites turn into mini-balloons all over my body. Once when we were travelling by jeep during the monsoon season, the rain was so heavy that we stopped in a village. A young Thai boy noticed this huge bite on my arm, which was going a funny colour, and looked as if it might be infected. He picked some leaves off a tree and made a mixture of them using some salt and a little alcohol and then rubbed the mixture into my arm. You could see the infection disappear: it was amazing, it was like letting the air out of a balloon. I am an actress and generally, after I've finished a run of performances in a play I feel  all exhausted, but not too tired to escape! All I want to do is to find a hotel with a fantastic view, a beach, a good book and a mosquito net. My needs are very simple, really, and I just want the opportunity to refresh myself. Sometimes I might consider a holiday in a completely different environment, like visiting a friend in a country cottage or staying in a small bed- and -breakfast place and walking in the surroundings. It's good for my soul.Decide if the sentence is true (T) or false (F).Barbara didn't like her first trip to the mountains.

Приклад запитання: Problems of youth in Ukraine and GBI . Read the text and write if sentences are true or false. Young people in Ukraine and Great Britain live different lives. But nevertheless, their problems have much in common. Probably the most vital problem is choosing a career, which is really difficult. To my mind, the main difficulty is the responsibility you have to take on, because your future life depends on your choice. Also one of the most fundamental problems faced by young people in Ukraine and GB, is unemployment. It means financial worries, frustration and discouragement. Another important problem is the tension which exists between parents and children, or the “generation gap”. I think this problem is inevitable, because every generation is unique in its experiences and values. And parents try to improve their ideas upon their children. One more common problem for young people in Ukraine and GB is love and dating. Some parents today are prepared to give their children some freedom, others are overprotective. For me, the most important problem is that of friendship. Friends are people whose trust and affection you have to win, friendship is art for me We have common interests, likes and dislikes, so having friends is of utter importance for me. As you see, the problems are numerous. Many young people may not be mature enough to cope with them, that's why they go in the direction of crime, drugs, drinking etc. They also compensate for their feelings by revolting against society and adult authority. That's why grown-ups should work together with young people to help them solve these problems. We must remember that the young people are the leaders of tomorrow. Question 1  Young people in Ukraine and Great Britain live the same lives.

Приклад запитання: Read the text below about bullying and decide if the statements 1 - 6 are true or false.BULLYINGA bully is a person who attacks, either physically or emotionally, a weaker person. The existence of such organisations as Ditch the Label and Antibullying Alliance shows that bullying is a reality that should not be ignored. In fact, according to research carried out by Ditch the Label in 2015 in the UK, seven out of ten young people are bullied at some point at school or college. The experience has dramatic consequences for the victim: self- confidence is affected, school marks drop, and depression levels rise. Some of the signs of bullying, such as cuts, bruises and torn clothes, are physical, so they are usually easy to spot. There are, however, emotional and behavioural signs that may help warn parents and teachers, even in cases when the child refuses to share any information as to what is going on. Anti- bullying organisations encourage parents and teachers to focus on any change in the behaviour or habits of a person: for example, if the person acts strangely, loses his or her appetite, remains oddly silent, looks unhappy, or often ‘loses’ money and other personal belongings, he or she is definitely going though something that requires attention. Many anti-bullying efforts are centred on helping young people deal with bullying and even try to stop bullying from appearing in the first place. More and more campaigns run throughout the year, especially on social networking sites, aiming at raising awareness through discussion and action against bullying. One such example is Anti-Bullying Week. During this week, people are encouraged to speak out, share views and let victims of bullying know that they are not alone. Victims can call a special, free helpline and talk to experts who act as a support system. Also, other people can help by offering money to anti-bullying organisations or just by helping spread their message. The hope is that, as these efforts gain more popularity, bullying will eventually become socially unacceptable behaviour.1. 70% of school or college students in the UK have experienced bullying.

Приклад запитання: Would You Rather Travel with a Big Group of Friends or All by Yourself?I don’t really have an excuse to travel alone any more, and I miss it. I miss the times when I’d check in for a flight and let my eyes wander around the waiting area at the gate, trying to guess who my seat-mate would be. I always hoped I'd make a friend, yet still asked for a window seat, so I could stare through the window instead of having an unwanted conversation if my neighbour turned out to be a bore. The best conversation always turns out to be the dialogue you have with yourself. What does the author say about her travelling alone, according to PARAGRAPH 1?
