to select objects and commands. It usually appears on the screen as a

small white angled arrow or as an I-beam pointer.

The area on the display screen where icons are grouped is called so because the icons are designed to represent real objects on a real desktop.

A device, such as a mouse or trackball, that allows the user to select objects on the display screen.

With the help of this the user can divide the screen into different areas.

Most graphical user interfaces allow the user to give commands by selecting a choice from it.

These are small pictures that represent commands, files or windows. By moving a pointer to them and pressing a mouse button, the user can execute a command or change it into a window.
