Day 1

My first day was hard but fun. The most famous Costa Rican animals are probably the sloths. Mikey and Sarita are very slow, of course,but they are not lazy. These lovable animals spend most of their lives upside down in trees. Sloths only come to the ground to go to the toilet.

Day 2

I love sloths, but now my favourite animals are raccoons, because they`re adventurouse and they enjoy making new friends. The two raccoons here have funny names : Rice and Beans! This morning they were lively and playful,as usual.These clever animals are unusual because they have five fingers. They can use their paws to open bottles...or to hold hands with volunteers. It's so cute!

Day 3

This morning my main job was to clean the birds' area and make their lunch. The parrots`talk`.so I think they're sociable,but they're noisy.I like their colourful wings and tails. I prefer the toucans,though,because they can catch grapes in their large beaks.

Day 4

The female spider monkey,Barbara,is very old. She was cute yesterday, but today she was aggressive . Her new game was to sit on my head and pull my hair. Her claws were sharp, so that was painful! The vet says that this behaviour shows Barbara loves me. How strange!
