Some people who are not writers think that they can write stories. They write stories and send them to magazines. Theae people do not like it when the magazines send there stories back to them.
One day an English woman wrote a story. She thought that it was a very good story and she sent it to her favourite read magazine.After a few weeks the story came back to her because it was bad .The woman did not like this and she wrote a letter to the editor. This is what she wrote in her letter:
"Dear Editor,
Yesterday you sent back a story of mine. How do you know that the story is not good? You did not read it. Before I sent you the story, I pasted together pages 18, 19 and 20. When the story came back yesterday, the pages were still pasted together. Is this the way you read all the stories that are sent to you? The editor wrote back. His letter was very short.
"Dear Madam,
At breakfast when I open an egg I don't have to eat all the egg to see that it is bad."
