A DAY OUT IN LONDON
My name is Mia. I am twelve and I live in a small town near London. On Saturdays, my family sometimes goes to the city. Today I am in London with my mum, my sister Sophie and my cousin Leo. We travel by train, then take the underground to the city centre.
First, we visit a museum. It is opposite a big park. There are interesting pictures inside the museum and a small café near the entrance. Mum wants to see the pictures, but Leo wants to eat! At one o’clock, we have sandwiches in the park because the weather is sunny.
Sophie is wearing a yellow T-shirt, blue jeans and white trainers. She has got short, dark hair and glasses. Leo is tall and has got brown eyes. He is wearing a green jacket.
After lunch, we go shopping because we want to buy a present for Dad. There are two shops near the station: a clothes shop and a bookshop. In the clothes shop, we find a blue scarf for eight pounds and a red scarf for fifteen pounds. We buy the blue scarf because it is not too expensive. Sophie also likes a purple dress, but it is too small.
At four o’clock, I ask, ‘Shall we go home now?’ Everyone says yes. We take the train home. What a great day!
