Who has not heard about Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective in the stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? Sherlock Holmes` method of solving the most difficult problems was to notice and analyze the smallest details,even if they seemed unimportant. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle once came to Paris. He took a cab from the railway station to a hotel. When he paid the cabman, the man said,"Thank you , Sir Arthur Coonan Doyle".
" How do you know who I am?" Sir Arthur asked in the greatest surprise." Well, sir", the cabman answered, " according to the newspapers, you were expected to come to Paris from the south of France. The train you arrived on came from the south of France. I could tell from your clothes, especially your hat and also from the fact that you carried an umbrella, that you were English. These details helped me to guess that you were probably Sir Arthur Conan Doyle."
" Splendid! Splendid! said Sir Arthur. " You analyzedd the facts absolutely correctly. And you had so few facts! Clever work! Very clever!"
