Pancake Day is in May.

English people eat a lot of pancakes this day.

They dance with pancake.

Only men take part in races.

Racers must run about 410 metres.

A bell rings twice before the race.

With the first bell the women mustn't make their pancakes.

With the second bell they don't start running with a pancake in a frying-pan.

If the pancakes falls down, the runner may pick it up and toss it again.

The other members of the families watch the runners and cheer their mothers.

They eat pancakes only at home on this day.

The racers are housewives.
