                                         The Grasshopper and the Ant

       It is summer. The weather is hot. There are green leaves and bright flowers in June, July and August. The Grasshopper loves the summer. He sings, he dances and eats from the flowers. The Ant works hard and gathers food for the winter. The Grasshopper laughs at him and thinks he is a fool.

      The days go on and the leaves fall down in autumn. It rains a lot and cold wind blows in September, October and November. The days are short and dark. The Grasshopper can’t sing, dance, go out and he can’t eat from the flowers.

       Then, the winter comes. There is a lot of snow. The Grasshopper is very hungry and there is no food in December, January and February. He goes to Ant’s house and asks for some food. The Ant is kind and he gives some food to the Grasshopper.

        Soon spring comes. It is warm and sunny. There are a lot of green leaves and flowers everywhere in May, April and May. The Grasshopper can sing, dance and eat from the flowers again. But he gets a lesson and starts to gather food when the summer comes.
