Ukraine has many traditions and customs. Ukrainian people like

holidays. The 8th of March is a special day for girls and women.

It’s their holiday. Mark and his dad have prepared a celebration for

mum, grandma and Mark’s younger sister Linda. Mark has cleaned

all the rooms and he has made nice postcards. Dad has bought

presents: a bracelet for mum, a dress for grandma and a doll for

Linda. He has also bought food for the celebration but he hasn’t

bought a cake yet. Mark hasn’t laid the table but he’s going to do

this. They haven’t invited any guests because they are going to have

a family celebration. The living room is very beautiful today. Mark

has decorated it with balloons and flowers.
