TWO MINUTES WHICH SEEMED LIKE A LIFETIME

The family had been living in California and spend time on the sunny beaches in San Diego.

Something terrible happened one quiet morning.

There were always a lot of different animals around their house.

Two things hit a woman simultaneously,  first was deafening noise and then there was a violent shaking.

The family run to the stairs and hid under the stairs, which was the safest place.

The quake had only lasted a few minutes, but it seemed like a lifetime. 

The family didn't have any first aid kit, bottled water and canned food.

When the family left, everything was destroyed, however, luckily, none of them was seriously hurt.

The rescue operations moved quite slowly and they congratulated us on the way we had reacted.

It took a woman nearly a year and a half to recover, but she still haven’t adjusted.

After that event, the family had lost their home and moved to Edinburgh.

You can build marvelous cities but it only takes 6.6 on the Richter scale to reduce it all to a few bits of concrete.
