Тема: The Seasons. The Weather.

Мета: - відпрацьовувати в мові учнів вживання ЛО з теми, практикувати

учнів в усному мовленні, аудіюванні, читанні, вміння складати

речення, відповідати на запитання, знаходити помилки;

розвивати пам’ять, мову, увагу, мислення, монологічне мовлен-

ня;

- розвивати фонематичний та орфоепічний слух, уважність, логічне мислення, наочно-образне мислення, вміння працювати із символьними позначками та картками;

- виховувати любов до природи,дбайливе ставлення до тварин і до

рослин.

Обладнання: - символьні картки (позначки погоди);

- підручник О. Карпюк «Англійська мова 4 клас»

- плакат «Travelling map»

- розчитка «Seasons»

- картки для читання в ролях;

- зображення гостя WALL-E

ХІД УРОКУ

І. ОРГАНІЗАЦІЙНА ЧАСТИНА

1.Привітання

- Good day, dear children!

(- Good day, dear teacher!)

-Today we have guests on our lesson. Please turn around and wish them a good day.

- Nice to meet you, sit down, please!

- Мене звати Ольга Григорівна і сьогодні урок англійської мови проведу у вас я.

2. Перевірка готовності класу до уроку.

-Who is on duty? Who is absent?

-What day is it today?

-What season is it today?

-What month is now?

-Do you like this month?

3. Mотивація навчальної діяльності та повідомлення теми та завдань уроку.

- Today we have not ordinary lesson. We have a special guest! Look on the blackboard – who is this? ( This is WALL-E) Who is WALL-E? (It is a little robot)

- But he is not just a robot, he’s a weatherman! And he brought us a special Travelling Map. And we are going to travell with our friend WALL-E around his world! First station on our map is “Our School”.

4. Мовленева (фонетична) зарядка /Warm-Up/

- Here, we are going to prepare for speaking English.(зараз ми приготуємося до спілкування англійською) Then you’ll tell me what we are going to talk about (Потім спробуйте сказати, про що ми сьогодні будемо говорити)

Look at the blackboard. Listen and read the poem:

Spring is green

Summer is bright

Autumn is yellow

Winter is white.

- Let’s read it all togeather!

- What names of seasons are here? (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter)

ІІ. ОСНОВНА ЧАСТИНА

1. Пояснення нового матеріалу, введення нових лексичних одиниць

- Look, we are in House of WALL-E! Here we’ll work at our main topic:” The Seasons. The Weather.” , beacause than we will try to be a real weathermen (synoptics). But first, we must learn new words!

Now we’ll talk about the seasons and the weather:

Are there four seasons in the year?
How many months are there in the year?
What season is it now?
Do you know winter months? What are they?
Are there leaves in the trees?
When can you see the flowers?
What colour is the sky?

Look, WALL-E showes us new words, lets read them after me and try to find a translation of this words!

- Let’s read them fast.

2. Catch the Ball!

- Now I will throw the ball to someone of you and tell the word on Ukrainian, and you must say this word on English. Ok? Let’s start!

3. Tренування у вживанні нових лексичних одиниць у мовленні

- Well done, dear children!

- And now, we are going to visit a new station – Meteo Station! WALL-E want to teach us, how to be a reall weathermen! You have cards on your desks. I have the same one. You must find a correct word and join it with correct symbol with a line.

- Let’s chek the resoults.

3. Введення нових ЛО в діалоги( з опорою на наочність)

- Let’s say, what is the weather like today?

- Is it foggy?

- Is it stormy?

- Is it windy?

- Do you like today’s weather? Why?

4. Weather forecast

- We are on the Meteo Station, let’s do a weather forecast for tomorrow!

- How do you think, …, what weather will be tomorrow?

6. Тренування ЛО в читанні та аудіюванні

- Our friend WALL-E is a big fan of theatre! He and his friend EVA are not bad actoures. Now he is proposing you to be an actoures! Here on your desk you can see a cards with dialogue of EVA and WALL-E. First, I will read it. Look in the text, when I will read it, read it with me.

ALL SEASONS ARE BEAUTIFUL

EVA: Do you like autumn, WALL-E?

WALL-E: No, I don’t. I think it’s a not interesting season. The grass is yellow. The leaves fall down from the trees. It often rains. It’s often cold. No, I don’t like autumn. But I do like winter and summer.

EVA: Do you?

WALL-E: Yes, I do, because in summer the days are longer and warmer and the nights

are shorter. And we do not go to school! You can have a lot of fun in summer.

EVA: And why do you like winter, I wonder?

WALL-E: Oh, in winter you can have a very good time too. You can enjoy skating, skiing, playing snowballs and sledging. Winter is the time for fun! I think that winter is a beautiful season. Forests and fields are white with snow. They look wonderful in winter!

EVA: We’ll, but I like autumn. I think that forests are more beautiful in autumn than in winter- the leaves in the trees are of different colours - green, yellow, orange, red, brown. They look beautiful! And autumn is a “tasty” season-there are a lot of vegetables and fruit in autumn.

WALL-E: And what about spring? Do you like it?

EVA: Oh, yes, I like it very much, too. The leaves are small and green. The grass is green, too. It’s warm in spring. In spring I usually enjoy the sun because it is not very hot. Well, I think all the seasons are beautiful!

- Have you any words, that you can’t understand? Good!

- What is this dialogue about?

- And now I will choose two actoures, that will play WALL-E and EVA. Come to me, I will give you your personal text.

7. Закріплення та тренування ЛО на письмі

- Now we are on a new Station – Test Laboratory! Here we will test our knowliges as real experts! You are devided in 3 groups. Every group will have a personal task.

- Now please open ypur copybooks and wright day and the dait. Under the words “Class work” write a word “Group __” and number of group in which you are (first, second or third)

I give you cards with your tasks.

You mast do the task in written form!

Now the first group will try to make up as many sentences as you can.

The second group: will choose the right sentences and write down them, please.

1. There are ten months in the year.

2. There are thirty days in February.

3. The winter months are December, January, February.

5. The summer months are June, July, August.

6. School begins in September.

7. The nights are short in winter.

8. The days are long in summer.

9. The trees are green in winter.

The third group will read the composition and find the mistakes. Wright in your copybooks only the wrong sentense and mark the mistake with a pencile.

MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS.

I like summer holidays very much. It is very cold in summer.The days are long in summer, the nights are short. The schoolchildren does not go to school. They do their homework. I like to play in summer. I like to play hockey and snowballs. I sometimes goes to the country to my grandparents. I always help my grandmother and my grandfather in the garden. All trees in a garden are yellow in summer. After the rain I like to jump over the pools. My grandmother don’t scold me. She loves me and I love my Granny too.
