Карп’юк «Англійська мова» 4 клас, аудіо додаток до підручника, малюнки з мультгероями, лексична вправа з переставленням літер в іменах принцес, «Fishing game» - коробка з рибками, на яких надруковані твердження до почутого діалогу та картки “T/F”, іграшковий мікрофон, відео та ксерокопії з текстом пісні “Toy Song”, “Present Continuous Dragon”, флеш-картки з письмовим завданням, наклейки та призи для команди-переможця.
Хід уроку:
І Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення:
1.Greeting:
T: Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you!
Ch.: Good morning, teacher! I’m glad to see you too!
2.Organizational moment:
T: Look at the pictures. What can you see in them?
Ch.: Walt Disney Heroes.
T: So, what is the theme of our lesson?
Ch.: Walt Disney Heroes.
Slide 1 T: Yes, the theme of our lesson is Walt Disney Heroes. At this lesson you will learn the names of cartoons, Walt Disney films and their heroes in English; memorize the Present Continuous Tense and describe a Disney hero.

1. Presenting New Vocabulary:
Slide 2 T: Look at this wardrobe. It’s a magic wardrobe. Repeat!
Children look at the picture of a magic wardrobe, repeat the words after the tape, translate them with help of the illustration and write them down into their vocabularies:
a magic wardrobe [ˈmæʤɪk ˈwɔːdrəʊb]- чарівна шафа
T: And what is this? It’s a lorry, a lorry with dwarfs. Repeat!
The children repeat the words after the tape, translate them with help of the picture and write them down into their vocabularies:
dwarfs in a lorry [dwɔːfs ɪn əˈlɔrɪ] – гноми у вантажівці
The children are divided into two teams. The lesson is a competition between them.
Slide 3 T: These dwarfs need our help. They don’t remember the names of their princesses.
The members from each team came up to the blackboard and put the letters in the words in the correct order. Other pupils do this task in their copybooks:
Slide 4 The pupils check the answers and translate the words with help of the illustrations. They get 3 points for correct responds.
2. Listening (Ex.1, p.60):

T: Do you like to watch Disney films about princesses, kings and witches?
Ch.: Yes, I do.
T: Translate the word “witch”.
Pupils translate the word with help of the picture and write it down into their vocabularies:

T: This magic wardrobe is the way to a magic country.
Listen! Somebody is speaking ….These are Bill and Nick, they are speaking about this country.
T: Listen to the dialogue.
T: And now let’s play a “Fishing Game”. Come up to the blackboard, catch a fish from the box and read the sentence on it. The rest of the pupils must show the cards “T” or “F” to demonstrate if the statement is true or false. The students with better reading and translation will get more points (from 1 to 3 points):
3. Reading (Ex.3, p.62):

T: Look! I can see a castle. Who lives here?
Ch.: Cinderella!
T: Yes, it is Cinderella, but other Walt Disney heroes also live in this castle. Let’s read and learn who lives here.
T: Read the rap, completing it with the lines (a-e) and translate it into Ukrainian. The correct answers will bring from 1 to 3 points to the teams:
- Yes, I am a witch. B) I am flying on the broom. Meet me in a spooky room.
Don’t worry Cinderella, he will marry you.
- Yes, they are dwarfs. They are reading a story. C) But what are they doing in a lorry?
T: So, who lives in the castle?
Ch.: Cinderella with a prince, a witch, pirates and dwarfs.

4. Speaking (Ex.4, p.63):

T: Use the toy microphone, the given tables with questions and answers and make up micro dialogues about the text in task 3. You’ll get 2 points for each correct reply:
B: Yes, she is looking for the shoe.
B: Yes, she is flying on a broom.
B: Yes, they are looking for the treasure.
B: Yes, they are reading a story.
B: Yes, she is running from the ball.
5. PT Minute:

T: All Walt Disney heroes like playing with toys. Let’s sing our “Toy Song” for them! You’ll get 2 points for this task.
The children watch the video and sing the song, using the copy:
There’re model cars
And a toy guitar.
There’re a teddy bear
And a doll with curly (курчаве) hair.

Lots of lovely toys.

There’re jig-saw puzzles

6. Grammar and writing:

T: It is a Present Continuous Dragon. Let’s memorize the rule.
The children tell the rule about usage and formation of “Present Progressive”. They get additional points for it. Then the pupils get flashcards, two members from each team work at the blackboard, the rest of them must write in their copybooks. The task is to choose the correct form of the verb “to be” or put the words in the sentences in the correct order; translate the statements into the native language. The teams have the opportunity to get from 1 to 3 points for each sentence:

The children translate the bold words “is looking for” with help of the context.
7. Speaking:

T: Do you remember the dwarfs who forgot the names of their princesses?
Ch.: Yes, I do.
T: So, what are the names of their princesses?
Ch.: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.
T: Yes, you are right and you get 1 point for the answer.
And now look at these sentences, complete them and tell about your favourite Disney hero, it may be one of the princesses.
One member from each team stands up and tells about his/her favourite Disney hero. The pupils listen attentively and then put the speaker a mark:
