World Teachers’ Day is an important time for recognizing the profound role teachers play in the lives of young people and the future of our world.

Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping our future leaders, scientists, artists, and more. Their passion and dedication often inspire students to pursue their dreams.

You don’t need to have all 10 traits to become a great teacher, but look how many of them resonate with you!You're a good organizer. You give directions that people can follow. You have the patience to let kids be kids. You have a great sense of humor and can laugh at yourself. Your voice can command a room. You have eyes in the back of your head You're an optimist. You're a good storyteller. You listen when others talk and you expect them to do the same. You actually like kids. 

World Teachers' Day encourages us to reflect on the positive impact teachers have on our lives and reminds us of the importance of becoming lifelong learners.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO, established World Teachers’ Day after adopting the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. 

Many countries celebrate World Teachers’ Day on October 5th. But there are also those in which it is celebrated on days close to this date or simply on a day that does not fall on school holidays. Here are some examples of celebrating Teacher's Day in different countries.
