A Picture Game
All the children in Tommy’s class are drawing animals. Tommy draws an elephant. It has big ears and a little tail.
Miss Fiona puts the pictures on the wall.
“Play in pairs,” Miss Fiona says. “Give your partner directions to ­ end your picture.”
Tommy is playing with Kate.
“Go to the tiger,” Kate says.
Tommy walks to the tiger.
“Turn right, and walk two steps,” Kate tells Tommy.
“Does it have short legs and a long tail?” Tommy asks.
“Yes,” Kate says.
“It’s the crocodile!”
“You are clever!” Kate says.
Tommy is happy. “Now it’s your turn,” he says.
