An InterCity train was derailed in UK yesterday.

The train was travelling through a tunnel at more than 100 kilometres per hour when it hit a flock of sheep that was going in the opposite direction.

The train came off the tracks, fell onto its side and skidded for another 200 metres before coming to a stop.

Everyone on the train was killed in the accident.

Only a few people were injured in the accident.

The police, fire crews and ambulance service were all called immediately and arrived within minutes to rescue the sheep.

The injured passengers were taken to local hospitals.

The tunnel was damaged, but the train was almost completely destroyed, causing 2 million pounds of damage.
