A NIGHT IN THE TENT
It was a Saturday afternoon. We had a picnic on the beach. It was warm and sunny. We had sandwiches, cakes and orange juice. Somebody had bananas and grapes. Everybody was happy.
We had a tent. When the evening came, we asked our mums and dads, “Please, can we sleep in the tent?” My father said, “Yes, you can sleep in the tent but you have to take warm clothes so that you will not feel cold in the morning.”
We said goodnight to our brothers and sisters. Somebody took a lot of sandwiches and much cola. Ann’s father read us a story about a boy who lived in the jungle and we went to sleep.
At night we got up. There were a few dark clouds in the sky. We saw the lightning and heard the thunder. Then the rain started and everybody ran to the house. Suddenly Dan had an accident. He cut his leg on a small rock. There was a lot of blood.
My mum opened the first aid box. First she washed the cut with the clean water. Next she used the cotton wool to stop the blood. Finally she put the bandage on Dan’s leg. “All’s well that ends well,’ my mum said. We were happy and went to watch the rainbow.
