Bagheera the panther found a man-baby in the jungle. Bagheera carried the boy to his friends, the wolves. The wolves loved the baby and they named the boy Mowgli. Mowgli quickly learned to run, jump, climb the trees and look for food. Bagheera the panther was always nearby. He was ready to protect little Mowgli. Baloo the bear and the elephants became his true friends. There were many monkeys in the jungle. Once they took Mowgli to the ruins of an old castle. They brought him to their leader. “Tell me the secret of Man’s red fire!” King Louie said. But Mowgli didn’t know how to make fire. He could not tell the king the secret. Luckily, Baloo and Bagheera came and saved Mowgli.
