The Father of the World Wide Web
Tim Berners-Lee was born in London in 1955. His parents worked with computers, so he became interested in technology when he was young.
He studied physics at Oxford University. Later, he worked at CERN, a scientific research centre in Switzerland.
In 1989, Tim had an idea. He wanted scientists in different countries to share information easily. He developed the World Wide Web, which made it possible for people to find and share information online.
Today, millions of people around the world use the Web every day. Tim Berners-Lee's invention changed the way people communicate, study and work.
