Hello Roxanne,
How are things? Are you having a relaxing time on your holiday in Spain? I’m writing to you from Lisbon. Portugal. My family and I got here three days ago. It’s been an amazing trip so far!
We've already seen lots of cool stuff. We've taken lots of photos of the beautiful buildings and squares in the city centre. We've also bought some souvenirs and visited the Lisbon Aquarium. Yesterday we took the tram to Belém near the river Tagus. It's a neighbourhood which is to the west of Lisbon centre. First we explored the busy streets and then we ate at a local restaurant. My parents had some fish, and I tried a prego, which is a delicious meat sandwich. After that, we all had the famous Portuguese dessert -pastel de nata. It was delicious!
Tomorrow we're going to Alfama, which is the oldest part of Lisbon. I'm really looking forward to it because I've heard you get a fantastic view of the river and the sunrise from Miradouro das Portas do Soll! That's all for now. Write back soon and tell me what you've been up to.
Take care,
Martin
