Korostyshiv Pedagogical College was founded in 1896.
Originally it was called "seminary".
The first director of the seminary was S. Vasylchenko.
In 1917 girls were allowed to study at this educational institution.
In 1942 the pedagogical courses were named after I. Franko.
From 1995 till 1998 a famous Ukrainian write studied at Korostyshiv Pedagogical college.
In 1919 the seminary was reformed into higher pedagogical courses.
A memeber of Ukrainian Academy of Science, Yevhen Shabliovskyi, studied at college twenty years ago.
In 2003 the pedagogical school got the name of a college.
Among the glorious graduates of Korostyshiv Pedagogical College is the Professor of Drahomanov National Pedagogical University, Korets.
