A I’m flying to Paris this spring. I’m staying with a family there. The family is friendly, and the daughter is going to take me sightseeing. I have to speak only French! The weather is going to be good all week, so one day we’re going to visit some amazing castles – they date from the 1500s!

B When my grandfather was young, it was his dream to see New York and see all the tall buildings. People didn’t always travel by plane in the 1960s – he went by boat. He didn’t have a laptop or smartphone, so he didn’t write a blog – he wrote in a notebook. I have it now, and I’m going to New York by boat. I want to do everything he did – and I’m happy they speak English in the USA so I don’t have to speak a foreign language!

C Dad and I are flying to Switzerland in July. We’re going to go hiking up a mountain. The mountain is 4,478m high, and we have to walk for more than nine hours to get to the top. It’s going to be hard! In the mornings it’s often cold and snowy, but in the afternoons it’s very hot. We need sunglasses for strong sun and for foggy weather too
