Neighbours who say ‘No’
The people of Northern Ireland gathered outside the government’s offices to speak out against the cruel and unfair treatment of their neighbours. Families in the city of Belfast were being targeted because of their race. Criminals would vandalise their houses by painting on them. However, the people of Belfast did everything they could to help. Neighbours would help the families clean their damaged homes. Most importantly, a large number of people got together and asked the government to find and punish these criminals.

Golden Ticket
Sometimes wonderful things happen to the people who need it the most. In 2014, Hungarian, László Andraschek was facing another year on the streets. On his walk home one evening, he took a chance and spent the little money he had on a lottery ticket. To his surprise and delight, László became one of the biggest lottery winners in Hungary, winning a massive £1.7m.
László turned his life around. He used his money to buy apartments for his children and start his own non-profit organisation that helps homeless people. A little luck really can go a long way!

It’s getting hot in here!
Did you know that by the time a baby born today is 80 years old, the world will be 6 and a half degrees hotter than it is now? Climate change is happening right now and it’s our responsibility to reduce the effects of global warming in any way we can. There are lots of ways you can get involved.
Why not walk to school instead of taking the bus or going in the car? Trees are your friends, plant one and make the world a greener planet. Try and use less energy in your house – avoid using too much hot water. Start recycling and encourage friends and family to follow your example.
If we all just do a few things differently in our lives, we can reduce global warming. Take action today!
