Informal e-mails

are  emails that you send to a person (or group of people) that you don't know or an important email that you are sending to a person in a position of authority – your boss, for example.

are written to someone you already know. Unlike a formal email, the language in an informal email or similar to the spoken word. Because informal emails are written in a more relaxed manner, the format of an informal email is more flexible.
