Our trip to Kenya

It was a hot summer. I was in Africa with my family. We were very excited about the trip because everyone in my family likes animals. My brother works at the Natural History Museum in London, Dad works at London Zoo, and Mum is a zoologist at a university - she studies animals in her job. I'm still at school, but I want to be a vet - you know, a doctor for animals.

This trip was great. We travelled into the countryside in a big truck, There were two guides to help us. I asked them lots of questions, 'Are there any lions? What types of snakes are there? How many giraffes live in this part of Kenya?' The guides answered all my questions.

After twenty minutes of travelling, one of the guides shouted, 'Look!' In front of us, there were elephants - ten of them! They walked slowly. They were beautiful. A few minutes later, the other guide shouted, 'Look!'. Near a group of tall trees, there were some giraffes. They were so tall!

Our first trip to Kenya was very special - everyone enjoyed it. There were so many amazing animals. We plan to go back next year!
