The term ‘culture’ can be defined as language, dress, beliefs, manners and tastes in food or music of a particular group. 

Youth culture appeared in America in the 1950s.

Mods usually had long hair and wore second-hand clothes.

Mods were dressed in Italian-style and leather clothes

Hippies were against the materialistic wealth and stressed on spiritual values. 

 Mods wore huge gold necklaces and drive costly cars. 

Rap and hip-hop were born in the ghettoes of New York over 20 years ago.

Rappers with their rap songs make teenagers believe that money is the most important thing in the world.

Youth cultures don`t give young people the opportunity to be something different before they agree and accept society's values. 

 Justin Timberlake and Eminem use slang in their songs. 

‘Fanzines’ are punk fan clubs.

Youth cultures can`t bring change to a society and help young people in their search for identity
