Урок з англійської мови в 4 класі за темою: "Свята й традиції. Merry Christmas".

Тип  уроку: комбінований
Мета: активізувати й закріпити лексичний матеріал з теми, вдосконалити навички усного мовлення, креативного читання, аудіювання, навчити працювати в команді, повторити вживання Present Continuous Tense.
Обладнання: проектор, мультимедійна дошка, лепбук з новорічними декораціями, роздатковий матеріал.

                                     Хід уроку
І. The organization moment ( greeting, warm-up)
-Good afternoon, pupils! I’m glad to see you.
- What day(date) is it today?
-What month is it now?
-What season is it now?
-Do you like winter holidays?
So, today we’ll speak about one of the winter holidays- Christmas.
The tasks of the lesson are:
- to revise Christmas symbols;
-to learn more about Christmas in Great Britain;
Today we’ll do exercises, sing songs, play games.
 

II. The main part of the lesson.
1. Check on homework. Зібрати зошити для перевірки перекладу.
2.Phonetic drill.
Look at the board and let’s revise some sounds.
[f] father, fireplace

[3:] girl, bird, her

[t]  tree, nut, turkey

[r] reindeer, merry

[i:] eve, tree.
-А тепер скажіть, яке слово виходить, якщо скласти звуки по вертикалі?
-Yes, fur tree is our Christmas symbol. 
3. So, let’s revise the names of the other Christmas symbols. Look at the screen(показ слайдів).
4. The first our task is to read the unusual text. You must say the words instead of pictures.( На екран виводиться текст, в якому деякі слова замінені картинками за лексикою з теми)

5. The next our task is listening. We’ll  watch a short episode about Christmas in Britain and then do the tasks.( На екрані демонструється відео, потім дітям роздаються аркуші з завданням на розуміння побаченого і почутого) .

1. When do British people start to celebrate the Christmas Holidays?

a) on the 1st of September;

b) on the 31st of December;

c) on the 1st of December.

2. What is Advent?

a) it’s a calendar;

b) it’s a holiday;

c) it’s Sally’s and Jack’s surname.

3. What do Sally and Jack help their mum to cook?

a) an apple pie;

b) a mince pie;

c) a roast turkey.

4. When do British people celebrate the Christmas Eve?

a) on the 6th of January;

b) on the 25th of December;

c) on the 24th of December.

6.Physical warm-up.
And now let’s have a rest , sing the Christmas song “ Jingle Bells” and dance.
7.Let’s revise the Present Continuous Tense . The next task is to fill in “am,is,are” in the sentences and match the sentences with the pictures( роздаються роздруківки з завданням, а також завдання виводиться на екран)
8. And now a short game. Come to me, take a card and do the task or answer the question.
III.Заключна частина уроку.
1.-Pupils, thank you very much for the lesson. You were very active. And now I want you to come to the blackboard and read my wishes for you. ( На дошці приготовлений лепбук з побажаннями для дітей під різдвяними символами).

-Timofey, my wish for you is in the stocking.
-Masha, my wish for you is under the wreath, etc.
