Тheme of the lesson(Тема уроку): Яка погода в Україні? Ступінь порівняння прикметників/ What is the weather in Ukraine? Degrees of comparison

Aims:  learn new words, improve reading skills, speaking, to improve grammatical material, writing, make  dialogues in sutiation“Talking about the weather in Ukraine”. / Цілі: формування в учнів комунікативної компетенції, вивчати нові слова, вдосконалювати навички аудіювання, читання, говоріння навчити вдосконалювати граматичний матеріал, письмо, вести діалог у мовленнєвій ситуації “Talking about the weather in Ukraine”.

Purpose: improve knowledge of English, to teach the interest in expanding one's knowledge about Ukraine and England,  activate lexical skills on the topic "Weather", develop a culture of communication; formation of national and public values, affirmation of a humanitarian worldview, development of map skills; to cultivate love for nature, cognitive interest in the surrounding world. / Мета: удосконалювати знання англійської мови, виховувати інтерес до розширення своїх знань про Україну та Англію, активізувати лексичні навички з  теми «Погода»,  розвивати культуру спілкування; формування національних та загальноглюдських цінностей , утвердження гуманітарного світогляду, розвивати навички роботи з картою; виховувати любов до природи,  пізнавальний інтерес до навколишнього світу.

Еquipment (обладнання):tables, laptop,TV, cards, pictures, maps, presentation./ таблиці, ноутбук, телевізор,наочність, мапи, презентація.

Methods ( методи): group work, work in pairs(compliting dialogues), speaking, writing, listening, Brainstorm, reflection./ групова робота, робота в парах (складання діалогів), говоріння, письмо, аудіювання, , рефлексія.

Type of lesson /Тип уроку: combined/комбінований урок,

Результати: 

• уміти застосовувати граматичний матеріал «Degrees of comparison» на практиці , складати речення, читати, перекладати;

• слухати та розуміти інформацію про погоду;

• засвоїти нові слова; розвивати діалогічне мовлення, вміти висловлювати власну думку.

Хід уроку

І. Oрганізаційний момент:

I) Introducton

T: Hello, dear children! Are you ready? (Listening and singing song)( I`m glad to meet you. How are you today?

P: I’am very well. Thank you.

T: You are in a good mood and the weather is nice today.

Children, do you like to travel? Today we will travel by plane. This is the "Mriya" plane. He will take us to different stations. But we have to do some tasks and improve our English. Well, are you ready? So let's fly.

Діти, ви любите подорожі?Сьогодні ми будемо подорожувати на літаку. Це літак "Мрія". Він доставлятиме нас на різні станції. Але  ми повинні виконати деякі завдання і покращити нашу англійську. Ну , що ви готові? Тож давайте полетіли.  

2) Warming- up

T: Every season has its weather. Listen to me and repeat after me:

       WEATHER

Whether the weather be fine

Or whether the weather be not;

Whether the weather be cold

Or whether the weather be hot;

         Will whether the weather,

Whether we like it or not!

T:  Look at the screen and say:

      What season is it?

      What are spring months?

      Do you like spring?   

      What season comes after spring? 

      What are summer months?

      Do you like summer? 

      What season comes after summer?

      Name autumn months.

      What season is it?

 T: The topic of our lesson is “Seasons and weather in Ukraine”. Today we are going to speak about   weather, seasons, people’s activities and your favorite season.

1. Delete one extra word away and guess the season:

 Rain, foggy, yello leaves, snow, cloudy;(Autmn)

 Warm, green leaves, May, New Year;(Spring)

 Snow, frosty, flowers, cold, hockey; (Winter)

Sunny, July, snowman, hot, flowers. (Summer)

 T: Find the words which are connected with our topic

2. T: Children, please open your books on a page 90. And let`s to do exercice1. It`s listening.

Find the weather words. What are they mean?

(Repeating the rule «Degrees of comparison»)

Open your copy books and write todays date. Exercice 3 page 90

3. Work in groups

1nd group : Write the sentences. Answer the question” What is the weather like today in Ukraine?

2d , 3^rd groups: Give   the Ukrainian equivalents.

1 Cold               а) сонячний

2  rainy             в) холодний

3 sunny             с) сніжний

 4 snowing        d) вітряний

 5 windy               e) дощовий

4.Are you tired? Stend up and repeat after me.

 5. Speaking

T: What’s the weather like in our planet today? Look at  the maps.

    Ask each other about the weather in different   countries of the world.

A: What’s the weather like in…………….today?

     The temperature is …………………..degrees above zero.

6. Role game “Weather forecast”

    T: So, you’ve learnt what the weather is like in our planet today. Do you know what is  the weather like in our country today? Let’s listen to the weather forecast.

     The temperature is …………….degrees above zero.
