P.1 Hello, dear friends! Welcome to our winter celebrations! I think you like winter, don’t you?

 

P.2 Oh, we are so glad when winter comes. It brings us a lot of snow, merry games ,Christmas holidays, a  New Year tree and a lot of presents on St. Nickolas Day.

 

P.3 You are right , winter is the best season of the year. We can ski and skate, make a snowman, play snowballs and sledge. Let’s sing our favourite winter song ”Jingle Bells”

 

Jingle bells, Jingle bells,

Jingle all the way.

Oh what fun it is to ride

In one-horse open sleigh                      

 

Dashing through the snow,

In one-horse open sleigh,

O’er the fields we go ,

Laughing all the way.

Bells on bob-tail ring,

P1. As you know , we celebrate Christmas in January, but a lot people celebrate Christmas on the 25^th of December. It’s the day on which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a happy holiday.

 It’s a time for hanging stockings ,

P.2 In England it is a family holiday, when all the members of the family get together .That’s  why we are all here ,because our school is our big family.

 

P.3 Before Christmas people decorate  their houses, streets, shops, schools with Christmas trees and coloured lights

 

P.1     On Christmas they  have a turkey and pudding  for dinner. They  also sing carols.

P.2. The 24^th of December is the day when children hang their stockings at the end of their bed or at the fire places .

They hope that Santa Clause will come round with sweets and toys. So children often send letters to Santa Clause to tell  him what they want for Christmas.

Dear Santa! For mother:

Bring her gloves for the cold

Bring her earrings made of gold

Bring her chocolates, candies nuts

Bring her money, bring her luck

 

For father:

Bring him ties for his suits,

Bring him  leather cowboy boots

Bring him chocolates, candies nuts

For me:

Bring me coat for the rain

Bring me cars for my old trains,

Bring me chocolates, candies nuts

For all:

Bring us snow, bring us ice ,

Oh, white Christmas would be nice
