Мета- сприяти вдосконаленню навички вживання лексичного матеріалу теми; сприяти формуванню навички вживання нових ЛО; сприяти формування граматичної навички вживання прийменників часу; сприяти вдосконаленню навички читання й усного мовлення; сприяти розвитку діалогічного мовлення; сприяти розвитку пам’яті та уваги; сприяти виховуванню загальної культури спілкування та толерантного ставлення до потреб і інтересів своїх однокласників.

At our today’s lesson we’ll go on speaking about school. You’ll learn new words and revise the days of the week in English, play games and sing a song. By the end of the lesson you also will be able to speak about your plans for the future. So, let’s start our lesson.

4. Warm up

• Memory game “Days of the week”

The Teacher puts the cards with the days of the week onto the blackboard. Then pupils read the days after the teacher. One or two pupils read by their own, other pupils repeat after them. After that the teacher takes all the cards from the blackboard, mixes all of them, chooses one card and hides it. Then the teacher puts the other cards onto the blackboard, the pupils have to guess what day has missed.

Cards with actions (swim, go to school, go to the tennis club, go out, read a book, watch TV, play chess, play computer games, do homework, play table games)

Pupils work in pairs. One card is for one pupil. Each pupil takes a card with an action.

P1: What are you going to do on …(a day of the week on the blackboard)?

P: I am going to …(a card with an action) on ….(a day of the week). What about you?

P1: Well, I am going to ….

11. Summary

The teacher: Now before we end our lesson, could you guess what I am going to do on Saturday?

The teacher takes one of the cards and does a mime. Pupils guess what plans their teacher has for Saturday.
