Тема уроку: “The cities of Ukraine”

Тип уроку: комбінований.

Форма роботи: самостійне опрацювання, робота в парах, колективна робота.

Мета:

Практична: формувати комунікативні навички учнів з теми; формувати  навички  письма; формувати навичку читання з теми.

Розвиваюча: розвивати навички говоріння, читання, аудіювання; розвивати увагу, мислення; розвивати уміння аргументувати свій вибір потрібної  інформації;

Виховна: виховувати  любов до Батьківщини;

Освітня: ознайомити учнів з  інформацією про основні міста України.

Обладнання: підручник, робочий зошит, карта України, роздатковий матеріал.

Хід Уроку

І Організаційний момент.

1. Привітання.

T: Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you! Sit down, please! 

Р: Hello, teacher.

 2. Мовна розминка                                            

 Т: - Who is on duty today?  

 P: - Andrew is on duty today.                                                                                                                                             

 T: - What date is it today?  

P: - Friday, 6 march                                                                                                                                              

T: - Who is absent today?

P: - Nina and Solomiya.                                                                                                                                                          

N: - Thank you. Sit down, please!

3. Перевірка домашнього завдання.

T: - Before we will speak about our new theme, I should check your homework.

4. Повідомлення теми уроку.

T: -Today we continue our work  on the topic “Ukraine” and today we will travel about Ukraine and get to know about some of its cities and towns, we will speak about famous places and famous people, answer the questions and tell about our city. Are you ready?

P: - Yes, we are ready!

II Основна настина уроку.

1. Подання нових лексичних одиниць.

T: - Let's consider a map of Ukraine. What are the biggest cities in Ukraine you know? Children, take a look on the blackboard. Listen and repeat these new words and the geographical names. Write the new words into your vocabularies. Don’t forget to write down the transcription and the translations:

A monument – пам’ятник

A bridge – міст

A square – площа

A street – вулиця

A cinema – кінотеатр

A castle – замок

A church – церква

A hotel – готель

Lviv – Львів

Odessa - Одеса

2. Активізація нових лексичних одиниць.

T: Children, do the exercise 2 at page 143.

4. There … is the best place to buy food.
5. You can learn about the history of the town in the local … .

3. Читання

T: Open your books on page 143 and  read the ex. 3 below. Read one by one and translate each sentence.

4. Розуміння прочитаного ( учні отримують роздатковий матеріал)

T: Work in pairs. Answer the questions.

1. What city would you like to visit?
2. What are Lviv and Odessa famous for?
3. What is one of the oldest cities in Ukraine?

5. Самостійне виконання вправи 5 ст.144

T: - Look through the text of Ex.3 and complete the table.

III Завершальний етап

1. Повідомлення домашнього завдання.

T: - Talk about the place where you live and do Ex. 7 (page 144)

     2. Оцінювання. Мотивація оцінок

T: Now I see that you have learned all the  information about the cities of Ukraine. I was pleased with your work today. Listen to your marks.
