Technique: teacher’s conversation with the class
Teacher: Good afternoon, children! I am glad to see you! How are you today?
Purpose: to acquaint the pupils with the goals and activities of the lesson and to motivate them to work
Technique: teacher’s word
Teacher: Kids, look at the picture of our today’s guest- Mr Skeleton! Is he scary? Are you scared of skeletons? You know that you have a skeleton inside you so don’t be scared of it! And today we are going to learn something new about your body. We will read the text about bones that make up our skeletons and then we will try to describe ourselves. So let's get started!
Purpose: to start-up within the outlined topic; to introduce pupils to the language environment
Technique: brainstorming, filling in the table
Teacher: Now, kids, I’d like to see what parts of your body you remember. You should name the body part and say how many of it we have. Write your answers into the table on the board!
