Мета заняття: 1) закріплення пройденого лексико-граматичного матеріалу,

aren’t changeable for our country and for other countries of the world.
We’ll speak today about some of them. Off course, we’ll training by
grammar: do same exercises, use some rules and repeat lexical phrases.

hotels in all cities. We are going to read and translate the text about it.

The Hotel
There аrе plenty of good hotels in all cities. On entering a hotel you раss the porter who takes your luggage and shows you the way to the desk-clerk. You find yourself in a large vestibule or lounge where visitors аrе constantly coming and going.
Then you go up to the desk-clerk who will give you all information you need, and who will hand an arrival form which all guests are required to fill in.
You write down your surname, name, patronymic, permanent address, date of birth, nationality and your signature. You leave your passport at the desk-clerk for registration, and then you get the key to your room. Having received the key you go up to your room accompanied by the porter who shows you to you room. He unlocks the door, enters the room and turns on the light if it is the evening. You can have a single room or a double room. In your room you can find everything that is required for your rest and work.

T: We spoke about Hotel. In our native town are a lot of good and comfortable Hotels. Now we’ll read questions and answer on them. You can use the text, personal knowledge or other answers. Put please each other questions about it.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS TO THE COVERSATIONAL TOPIC
1. Where do people usually stay arrive at a town in which they don’t live?
- Usually they stay arrive at a town in which they don’t live at a hotel.
2. Have you ever put up at a hotel?
- Yes, some times several times, when I was with my parents.
3. What hotel of your own town would you recommend to your friend?
- I would recommend to my friend “Grand Hotel”, “Leopolis” and others.
4. Why is it good to reserve rooms in advance?
- In this case you’ll not have any problems with accommodation at the hotel.
5. In what ways do people usually reserve rooms with hotels?
- People usually reserve rooms with hotels different ways (by phone, by letters).
6. What are the visitors required to do first when they arrive at a hotel?
- All guests are required to fill in an arrival form.
7. What information is required from those who are signing in at a hotel?
- You write down your surname, name, patronymic, permanent address, date of birth,
nationality and your signature. You leave your passport at the desk-clerk for
registration.
8. On what floors are the best rooms usually found?
- On the Pent house (on the last floor).
9. What services does a guest get at a modern hotel?
- Some o hotels run a parking place, restaurants and a good bar, a swimming-pool
and a dancing hall and so on.
10. Can the meals be served in his room (at his wish)?
- Yes, it’s possible. The meals can be served in guest room, at his wish.
11. What rules for hotel guests do you know?
- There are some a lot of them. When you enter the room you can find them at the
table or on the wall.
Grammar Review
3. a) Актуалізація модальних дієслів.
T: To have as a modal verb expresses obligation or necessity depending on circumstances. The interrogative and negative forms of the modal verb to have in the Present Indefinite and in the Past Indefinite are formed by means of the auxiliary verb to do.
Grammar writing:
Grammar exercise: Make up following interrogative and negative (Exercise 191).
1. Her father has to wear spectacles. 2. The woman has to go to the post-office. 3. Yоu had to return home. 4. The girl had to catch up with her class. 5. They have to live in one room. 6. The boy had to write with а pencil. 7. They had to work at night. 8. I had to wait for them.
3. b) T: To be as a modal verb is used in two tenses: the Present Indefinite and in the Past Indefinite. The present tense can be followed only by Indefinite Infinitive. The Perfect Infinitive can be used with the past tense of to be to show that the action was not carried out.

І) Студентам запропоновано поставити речення у питальну та заперечну форми, ( на дошці та в конспектах ), назвати їх з місця та провести необхідні виправлення у разі помилкового визначення.
ІІ) Студентам запропоновано, скласти якомога більше речень по вправі з таблиці.
Homework 1. Домашнє завдання.
а) Підготувати текст на переказ і підготувати розповідь про
наші готелі ( в інформативному порядку );
б) зробити письмовий переклад тексту;
в) повторити правила вживання модальних дієслів: to have to
be;
г) за граматичним довідником виконати трансформаційну
вправу № 196, ст. 290.
Summarizing 2. Підбиття підсумків уроку, виставлення оцінок.
T. What are you know about hotels? Don’t say, we don’t know.
I’ll give you some hints. We spoke about it all our lesson. Think of
them, study the text to retell, do the written translation .
At home you must study the grammar and make ex. №196 on the
page 290. It is your homework for the next lesson.
