QUIZ – AMAZING UKRAINE

Тема: Outstanding people and great places immortalized on currency of Ukraine

Клас: 6 A,B,D,E

Мета заходу:  

-         Активізувати вивчені ЛО: to be immortalized, currency, cathedral, church, tower, castle, academy of sciences.

-         Розвивати вміння сприйняття  на слух.

-         Розвивати комунікативні здібності учнів

Очікувані результати в кінці заходу:

Учні:

-         зможуть впевнено вживати лексичні одиниці за темою.

-         зможуть розпізнати ЛО на слух та виконати необхідну дію.

-         зможуть описати, що знаходиться на банкнотах національної валюти.

-         зможуть зрозуміти значення символів хабражених на банкнотах.

Наскрізні лінії: Національна свідомість і патріотріотизм.

Компетентності:

Спілкування іноземною (англійською) мовою під час опрацювання аудіо та відеоматеріалів; сформувати готовність до комунікації, вживаючи вивчені ЛО та структури; інформаційно-цифрова компетентність під час повторення вдома (перегляд презентації)

Обладнання та матеріали: екран, комп’ютер,  проектор, роздатковий матеріал (тести).

Хід заходу:

Привітання.

 Good morning, children! We are glad to see you!

Sit down, please!

 How are you today?

That’s great, because today we have an interesting quiz. We are going to speak about food!

1. Today , we`re going to talk about our amazing Ukraine, especially, about  outstanding people and great places immortalized on currency of Ukraine.
2. Look at the screen. Here you can see the photo of one grn. You can observe Vladymyr the Great on the front side.
    
   On the next slide you can see his picture in the real life.
   
   On the backside of the bill of one grn you can find the City of Vladymyr.
    
3. Now look at the bill of two grn. Here you can observe one more famous Ukrainian postures Yaroslav the Wise.
   
   And here is his picture in reality.
   
   On the backside of two grn you can observe Saint Sophia Cathedral
    
4. And now we can move on next. Look at the screen and observe here  Bogdan Khmelnitsky.
   
   And here is his picture in real life.
   
   On the back side of two grn you can see the Сhurch in the village of Subotov.
    
5. The next bill is ten grn and here is well-known hetman, Ivan Mazepa.
   
   This is his picture in his everyday life.
   
   On the back side you see the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra
    
6. And now we`ll have a short test:
   
   Match the bills of grn (1-10) to the famous postures that are depicted on them. Let`s check your answers.
7. Let`s come back to our presentation. And here is the bill of twenty grn. On the front side of it you see Ivan Franko the famous Ukrainian poet.

   On the back side of the bill you can see the incredible Lviv Opera Theater.
    
8. On the next bill (50grn) you can observe the first Ukrainian president Mykhailo Hrushevsky.

9.  On the bill of one hundred grn we can see our famous poet Taras Shevchenko.

   On the back side here is the Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko
    
10.  On the next bill we can observe Lesya Ukrainka, a well known Ukrainian poetress.

    On the othet side of the bill you can see The entrance tower of the Lutskyi Castle
     
11.  And now let`s go to five hundered grn. On the frontside of the bill you can see Hryhoriy Skovoroda.
    
    This is how he looks like in every day life.
    
    On the backside we can see Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
     
12.  And our last bill for today is one thousand grn with Volodymyr Vernadskyi.

    On the backside you can see Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
     
13. And let`s do our final task.
    
    Match the bills of grn (1-10) to the famous postures that are depicted on them. Let`s check your answers.
14.  I suppose it was interesting for you to know about famous people and places on our Ukrainian currency. Now you know that Ukrainian gryvnas are not only things to buy something but also they are the number of symbols of our country.

В рамках декади іноземних мов у 6-А,Б,Г,Д класах було проведено захід “Amazing Ukraine ”. Учні дізнались багато нового про українську валюту, відомих людей та місця котрі зображені на українських кривнях. Також учні презентували свої власні роботи: презентували у Power Point цікаві факти про Україну та міста нашої країни. В процесі самого заходу виконували різні завдання на роздатковому матеріалі та в Power Point.
