Intellectual contest “We Love English”

Мета: - активізувати лексику з англійської мови по темах “Countries”,                                                                                 “House holding”, “ Around the city”, “Englishmen’s Home”.

           -розвивати в учнів навики читання,  аудіювання , говоріння, письма;

          - розвити творчі здібності учнів

Обладнання: роздатковий матеріал з завданнями для конкурсів,кульки, кольоровий папір, маркери, мультимедійні засоби; фільм про Лондон, магнітофон з записами пісень.

T. Good morning, dear guests, teachers, boys and girls. We are glad to see you in our school hall today. We have an intellectual contest “We Love English” and I hope you’ll enjoy it. So let’s start. The participants of our today’s contest are the pupils of the fourth forms. There are three teams of eight participants in each team.

( команди встають, а глядачі оплесками їх вітають вболівальники використовують плакати, виготовлені  ними для підтримки своєї команди).

T. Thank you. Take your seats ( команди займають свої місця за столиками).

Let me introduce our  jury who will judge our contest. They’ll give you points for correct answers.

So now we are ready for the first task of our competition. Please be active and show your knowledge of English.

1 конкурс. Представлення команд.

T. The first task is to introduce your teams:

-the name of your team

-the team’s symbol

-the motto of your team.

It will be the task for your captains

Our  symbol is…(показують емблему і розповідають про неї)

2.Конкурc ”Home task”(домашнє завдання команди представляють  між іншими командами)
T. Your  home task  was to prepare a song and a  poem.

So let’s start with a song “The ink is black, the page is white” the team “Little Teddy Bears”, are you ready?

Every team has its fans. They are their classmates I want to address to you, dear fans. You will be able to help your team win the contest by doing tasks and getting points which will be added to the score of the team you support. Shall we try?

        “How many English words do you know?” 

Будьте уважні, слухайте слово укр.. мовою і хто перший підніме руку і скаже правильно це слово англійською мовою отримає бал для своєї команди (кожній команді вболівальників роздаються карточку певного кольору і якщо вболівальники дали правильну відповідь, то помічник журі забирає ці карточки. В кінці конкурсу члени журі додають додаткові бали кожній команді підраховують ці карточки)

Журі оголошує результати за 2 і 3 завдання та домашнє завдання 2 команди. Оголошує загальний бал для кожної команди.

T.Thank you, jury 4 конкурс “  Numbers  and Colors ” For the next task we need 2 members from each team. We shall play a game “ Numbers  and  Colors .  Who  is the fastest and the most clever”.

Умова гри: одному учаснику зав’язуємо  очі, а на іншого  причіплюєм різнокольорові прищепки «Поки звучить музика ви повинні знайти і зняти яко-мога більше прищепок. Коли музика закінчиться , порахувати англійською мовою прищепки і назвати кольори,one,two,three…

There are 2 red…, 3 green…My favorite color is …. І сказати який ваш улюблений колір.

T.Журі оцінює  цей  конкурс , а тим часом для вболівальників наступає завдання.

Загадки.

Помічник збирає карточки у вболівальників за правильно відгадану загадку і передає журі. Журі готується до оголошення результатів

Do you like to guess the words, so your next task is “Guess the  word”

Тут заховане ключове слово теми, яку ми вже з вами вивчити.

Ваше завдання: назвати букву,яка може бути в цьому слові,якщо ця буква є, то я відкрию її і ви отримуєте 1бал і маєте змогу відкрити іншу літеру. Якщо буква названа неправильно,то черга переходить до наступної команди. Якщо команда,яка відповідає готова назвати ціле слово, то отримує 10 балів.

T.Поки журі підводить підсумки, вболівальники мають змогу додати бали своїй команді

       Розважальну перерву конкурс для вболівальників. Запрошуємо  по

      одному вболівальнику на середину.

Your task is to eat the apple as quickly as you can. All the other pupils will support you.
