Procedure

І. Introduction

T: Good morning, dear children! Nice to see you! How are you today?

Ss: Good morning, our teacher! Nice to see you too! We are fine.

Учні виконуюють пісню «Hello!»

T: Look at each other! Smile at each other! A warm smile will encourage our work.

T: At the beginning of the lesson I want you to share your expectations. Take a marker and write them down on the blackboard.

I want … (to play games, to get good mark and so on).

T: Thanks. We will turn back to them and analyse our work at the end of the lesson.

ІІ. Warming – Up

T: Dear students, today we’ll learn new grammar rules and new words, speak about your past time. We’ ll do some exercises. So, look at the blackboard and read the topic of our lesson.

III. Main part

  1. Making up a dialogue

T: Work in pairs. Talk about things you like doing in your free time. Make up a dialogue according to the given pattern.

Pattern:

A: What do you like doing in your free time?

B: I like singing and drawing. And what about you?

  1. Group discussion

T: Work in groups. Make a list of activities you usually do in your free time.

Indoor activities: to train in the gym, ….

Outdoor activities: to play basketball, …

Activities to do alone: to paint, …

Group activities: to make a project, …

  1. Writing

T: We should plan our working day and past time if we want to have a good rest. Make your week schedule, write it down in your copybooks. This funny poem will help you.

On Monday I drive a car

On Tuesday I go to the cinema

On Wednesday I go for a run.

On Thursday I lie in the sun.

On Friday I go shopping.

On Saturday I dance without stopping.

On Sunday I sleep until ten.

Then I am ready to start the work again.

T: Say your partner about the things you are going to do this week.

T: Now, dear children, write down your hometask. It is to make up a crossword according to the topic “Leisure time”. Be ready to speak about your hobbies.
