                                                        SCENE:

   A house in the forest. The mouse comes up to the house.

THE MOUSE: Who lives in this house? (no answer.) Then shall I live here. (The   Mouse enters the house.)

NHE FROG (coming to the house: Who lives in this house?

THE MOUSE (appearing in the windows): I do. I am a mouse and I live in the house.

THE FROG: And I am a frog.  May I live in this house?

THE MOUSE: Yes, you may. Come in, please. 

           THE FROG ENTERS THE HOUSE. THE COCK APEARS.

THE COCK: Who lives in this house?

THE MOUSE AND THE FROG (together): We do.

THE FROG: I am the frog.

THE MOUSE: I am the mouse.

(Together): And who are you?

THE COCK: I am the cock. May I live with you?

THE FROG AND THE MOUSE (together): Yes, you may.Come in, please.

THE FROG: I am the frog, frog, frog.

THE COCK: I am the cock, cock, cock.

THE MOUSE: I am the mouse, mouse, mouse.

(together): We live in this house.

                 THE FOX APPEARS.

THE FOX: Who lives in this house?

THE MOUSE, THE COCK, THE FROG: We live in this house.

-THE MOUSE,

- THE FROG,

- AND THE COCK.

(together): And who are you?

THE FOX: I am the fox. May I live with you?

THE MOUSE, THE COCK and THE FROG (together): Oh, you are bad fox, go away.

THE FOX runs away. THE MOUSE, THE FROG and THE COCK pursue him.
