“Travelling to English”

Розважально-пізнавальна гра “Travelling to English” для учнів 4 класів

Мета та завдання:

• створити позитивну мотивацію до вивчення англійської мови;
• повторити та закріпити вивчений матеріал;
• вчити дітей колективній діяльності, співпраці.

„Подорож” проводиться з учнями 4 класів. Всі учні – пасажири потягу, який рушає в подорож до англійської мови. Кожна група учнів займає свій поїзд, який зупиняється на різних станціях. Діти самі обирають розпізнавальні знаки для себе, але в кожній групі є машиніст “driver”, який проводить свою групу по станціях. Для того, щоб поїзди „не потрапляли в аварійні ситуації” на своєму шляху, кожна група отримує   маршрутний лист “train table”, в якому вказано маршрут кожного поїзда, назви станцій та порядок руху. В ньому також вказано час зупинки, кількість отриманих балів.

Хід гри

Teacher: Dear friends, today you are passengers of these trains. We are going to travel to English. The trains are leaving. Good voyage! See you later!

Station 1: “Reading”
Перевіряється техніка читання (кількість слів за одну хвилину). Один з учнів, обраний командою, отримує лист зі словами або з текстами. Учню дається одна хвилина на підготовку, потім він зачитує запропонований матеріал. Підраховується кількість прочитаних слів за одну хвилину і виставляється така ж кількість отриманих балів у маршрутний лист.

Teacher: You should read words in one minute. I’ll count only correct ones. The winner will get 5 points. The second 3.

 Наприклад: Ship, egg, bus, book, star, horse, name, sit, yes, cook, feed, park, cake, little, jump, good, farm, floor, nose, big, bell, sun, fish, pen, pupil, that, king, morning, yellow, ball, day, boy, hand, teacher, classroom, England, shelf, computer, witch, bottle, orange, tree, snow, small, monster, comfortable, gallery, leg, hair, soldier, birthday, Christmas, five, Sunday, season, winter, desk, chair, May, Monday, summer, sister, family, hippo, clown, dancer, nice, magazine, shampoo, ghost, Ukraine, doctor, September, Wednesday.

Якщо учень завершив читати слова, а вчитель його не зупиняє, він починає читати запропонований матеріал з початку.  

Station 2: “Phonetics”

Teacher: Read words in the transcription. One correct word 1 point.
Прочитайте слова в транскрипції.

Station 3: “Poetical”

Teacher: The drivers of your team will declare the poems. You can get 5 points.

Station 4: “Grammatical”

Teacher: The first team should fill in the right form of the verb to be, the second team should find and correct the mistakes. You can get 7 points.

Station 5: “Lexical”

Teacher: Continue the list of the words. One additional word 1 point.

Station 6: “Riddles”

Teacher: Solve the riddles. Correct answer 2 points.

Station 7: “Conversation”

Teacher: Look at the picture and describe the animal. Mind your grammar. You can get 10 points.

Teacher: Solve the crossword. The first team should find 9 colors, the second 9 animals.
