Reading 1 (form 4)

  Yesterday it was Saturday. My younger brother Nick and I didn’t go to school. Mum and Dad didn’t have to go to work, they had their day off too. We wanted to make our parents happy, so we got up at seven and went to the kitchen. I cooked breakfast for all the family. Nick made some coffee and set the table. Then we knocked* at the door of our parents’ bedroom and said :”Dear Mom, Dad! Come and have breakfast. Hot pancakes are on the kitchen table.”  We ate pancakes, drank coffee with milk and had a nice time together. Nick did the washing up. Mom said this was the best meal in her life. Then Dad, Mom, Nick and me went to the Zoo. Everybody enjoyed our Saturday morning very much.
