Alan Alexander Miln was born in London in 1882
When he studied at school he became an editor of the university newspaper
When World War started he joined the army and served in France
By 1900 Milne completed one book and several plays.
Milne became well-known as a popular British playwright
When his son was born that event changed the history of children's literature.
In 1926 he published his successful work Winnie-the-Pooh.
Milne also wrote detective stories.
When he died, 30 years later, he achieved world-wide popularity not to his plays and novels but to the Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh Bear.
The title of his only detective novel is The Red House.
