What do we use in the kitchen?

All women like cooking. So they use different kitchen utensils and appliances for cooking. You can`t imagine our life without modern appliances. They help us and make our life easier. We spend less time for doing our housework or cooking. We often use a deep-fryer, a coffee-maker, a toaster, a mixer, a bread-maker, a juicer, a steamer, a meat-chopper/a grinder, a blender, a waffle iron, a kitchen machine, a multi-cooker. There is an extractor and a conditioner in our kitchen.  We also have a new cooker and a big freezer in our kitchen. When it is hot we use a fan in the room. When it is cool we use a heater. 

We cut bread with a knife. We eat soup with a spoon. Bring me a tea-spoon, please. I drink coffee out of a cup. I drink milk out of a glass. Mum drinks tea out of a mug. Give me a glass of water, please. She stirs the hot porridge with a wooden spoon.  The cook serves soup with a ladle. We make tea in a tea-pot. We can boil water in the kettle or in the electric kettle. The tea-pot is here, make tea. The jug is empty; there is no milk in it. Our dinner is on a tray. There are a lot of apples and pears on the tray.  There are sweets in a big vase.

We grate cheese, carrots and beets with a grater. I cut cabbage on a cutting board. My mum has some cutting boards. They are plastic and wooden.  We cook soup in a pan. We fry eggs in a frying pan. I like non-stick frying pans. Don`t use pot scrubber for pots.  My mum often uses casseroles. She also likes earth wares. I often use a colander in the kitchen.  We roast meat and vegetables in a ….. We keep oil in a bottle.  We open bottles with a bottle opener. We knead dough with a rolling spin.  We preserve food in a jar.  There is a big pizza on a big dish. We can cut it with a pizza slicer. We beat eggs with a whisk. Sometimes I use a mortar.

I want a bowl of rice and vegetable. We can peel vegetables with a peeler. We press garlic with a garlic presser. We turn steaks over with a spatula. When we fry meat, fish or pancakes, we use a spatula. I have wooden, metal and silicon spatulas.  We keep meals in containers in the fridge. I often use a thermo to keep my meal hot. Mum often uses kitchen scissors. There are some nice cups and saucers on the table. The cups are white and the saucers are black. There are some glasses on a tray.

We bake a cake in a cake pan.  We have some different baking pans for baking. We bake pies on a baking sheet. Sometimes I use a muffing tray for baking muffins.  I like to grill hot dogs on a grill pan.  We measure milk with a measuring cup. We measure salt and sugar with a measuring spoon.  Mum always sift flour in a sieve before making pies or pancakes. We use mixing bowls for making meals. My mum always uses scales to weigh ingredients.

A mixer is an electronic device. It is our helper in the kitchen. We use a mixer when we want to mix something. We can make dough, beat up eggs, and make stuffing and so on.

We use a colander to drain from cooked pasts. A sieve is for separating liquids from solids. A ladle is for serving soup. A baking pan is for baking cakes and cookies. We can use tongs to pick up food. A pot is for boiling food.
