Theme: Ukraine is our Motherland.

Мета уроку: систематизувати знання учнів по темі, розвивати навички аудіювання та читання, розвивати кругозір учнів, творче мислення, виховувати любов до рідного краю, почуття національної гордості, формувати патріотичні риси характеру.

The motto:  “He who loves not his country, сan love nothing.”

Materials: підручники, наочно - демонстраційний матеріал

 (презентації, відео та фото матеріали), роздатковий матеріал (копії текстів, завдання вправ)

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприймання іншомовного мовлення

1. Привітання

Teacher: Good morning, dear girls and boys. Today we are going to speak about our Motherland – Ukraine. We will travel around the country and learn about places of interest of Ukraine and remember the Ukrainian holidays. If you look at the blackboard , you will see the topic of the lesson and the motto of it. Let’s read the motto and try to explain it. Do you like Ukraine, our Motherland?

What does it mean “to love Motherland”?

•          It means to love our family. 
•          It means to love the beauty of the country nature.

•          It means to respect our culture, traditions.
•          It means to know our history.

      -    It means to love our native villages and  towns.

      -    It means to know our mother tongue.

                               “Ukraine is our Motherland”

Love Ukraine like sun that you love

Like wind, like grass and like water

Whenever you’re happy in moments of gladness

At times of trouble, do love

4) Dnipro River is the longest river in Ukraine.

5) The national dish of Ukraine is pizza.

6) The President of Ukraine is Taras Shevchenko.

7) The biggest river of Ukraine is Dnipro.

3. Game “Ukrainian holidays”

5. Exercise “Choose the ingredients for cooking borscht”
6. Put the words in the correct order and read the proverbs.

ІІІ. Завершальний етап уроку

1. Make up the sunflower “I wish my country…”
2. Today we must pray for Ukraine, for peace in our native land and in the whole land.
