Topic: Hobbies and interests.

Theme: My preferences. Likes and dislikes.

Aim: to teach pupils to tell about their hobbies using words and phrases of the topic.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson pupils will be able:

                   to ask questions and speak about their likes and dislikes

                   to use the Present Simple and the Gerund

Aids: multimedia presentation, songs, handouts, worksheets.

Type of lesson: developing of speaking skills.

Prosedure:

1. Greeting. The song “Good Morning”
2. Phonic practice.

Sounds [w] – wh, [ʃ] – sh, [ɪŋ] – ing.

3. Warming up.

“Free time song”

• What is the theme of our lesson?
• What is your hobby?
• What don’t you like to do?

4. Aims.

During our lesson we shall:

• revise new  words;
• work in pairs;
• speak about our hobbies;
• do exercises;
• sing songs;
• report on your home task.

5. Mood creation.

• How are you?

Happy, angry, scared, sleepy.

6. Vocabulary work.

Individual work.

Pair work.

7. Writing. Grammar.

Teacher’s  explanation. Present Simple, Gerund.

8. Relaxation. Physical exercises.
9. Speaking.
