 Хід уроку

1.     Введення до іншомовного середовища.

Dear boys and girls, I’m glad to see you. What day is it today? Look at the blackboard and try to guess the topic of our lesson. Quite right, the topic is “Food. English Food.” And today we are going to play lexical games, to work on the words of the topic, to make up poems, to do different activities, to develop your speaking and reading skills. Do you want to know what the English usually eat during the day? So, let’s start.

2.     Фонетична зарядка

Look at the pictures , what food do people usually eat? And what do these children like to eat ? Let’s guess making up the poem. You should try to find a rhyme to the names.

         I am Bruce. I like…

         I am Sophie. I like …

         He is Tony. He likes...

         He is Lee. He likes …

3.     Основна частина уроку.

1.      Lexical drill

-Let’s recollect the vocabulary on the topic “Food”. I suggest you playing a ball. Take the ball, name one word to the topic learnt and then pass it to your friend.

-Find “Odd one out”

1. bread, butter, cheese, a car, pizza

2. the weather, borsch, a banana, a sandwich

3. an apple, a book, a tomato, a hamburger,

-And now look around the room and show me the picture of

-Look at the picture of Ex. 1 p.70. and say which of these do you have for breakfast, dinner and lunch

2.     Grammar drill

-Read and write a or an.

-        Match the words with many or much

3.   Reading

-Read the text about Angelica’s meals and choose the correct picture for each. Ex 3 p.70

     _ While reading find countable (group 1) and uncountable( group 2) nouns.

Countable ( a fish or meat dish, vegetables, meatballs, etc.)

Uncountable( milk, pasta, hot chocolate, salad, etc.)

4.     Speaking

1.     Imagine you are invited to the TV programme “Zvana vecheria”. Work in pairs. Ask your friend and tell your friend about food you like to eat for dinner.

eg.  - Oleh, what food would you like to eat for dinner?

-         I’ d like to eat tuna with rice and salad. What about you?

-         I want some pasta and tomatoes.

2.     Line work. Talk about food you like.

Game “Crosses and zeros” We have got two teams. Look at the

 pictures and make up the sentences about your meals with them. Let’s play the game.
