Хід уроку
1 Greeting
-Good morning children. I`m glad to see you. How are you today?
2 Introduction
-What day is it today? What is the weather like today? What month ( season)is it now?
Open your copybooks and write down the date.
-The theme of our lesson is Travelling around London.
3 Aim
-The motto of our lesson is: ‘The man, who is tired of London is tired of life”
-At our lesson we`ll speak and read about London, travel around its historical places, make up dialogues, write, solve puzzles.
By the end of the lesson you`ll get more information about London and speak about . this famous city.

-London is rich in famous historical places. We are going to have an excursion around London. Some of the pupils are our guiders, they are going to tell us about historical places of London. Imagine you are in London sightseeing tour

-Yes, w e can travel by double–deckers .Imagine we are sitting in a double-decker now.
A short story about London
London is the capital of Great Britain. It is one of the biggest cities in the world. Over than 9 million people live in it. London is situated on the Thames river. London is traditionally divided into four parts. They are: the City, the Westminster, the West End, the East End
The first stop is Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace is an official royal residence. The palace takes its name from the house built for John Sheffield the Duke of Buckingham. The changing of the guard takes place regularly. The royal standard is flown over the palace only when the queen is in residence.
The second stop is Сovent Garden
Сovent Garden is a famous tourist centre in London. There is a historic Market Place here. There are lots of places to visit in Сovent Garden. You can choose and buy any souvenir for your family and friends. After shopping you can have lunch or dinner in a small café or restaurant. In the evening you can visit a theatre.
There are a lot of comfortable hotels around it. Сovent Garden is a popular meeting place.
The third stop is the Tower of London
The Tower of London is one of the most famous and most interesting places in the city. The Tower was once a palace, a fortress, a prison and even a Zoo. Today it is known as a historical museum. . Now it is famous as home of the Crown Jewels. Of course, no visit to the Tower would be complete without seeing the ravens; huge black birds who are an official part of the Tower community. Legend states that if the ravens were to leave the Tower the Crown will fall, and Britain with it.
The fourth stop is St. Paul’s Cathedral
St Paul's Cathedral is one of the most famous buildings in the world. The first Christian church was built by the Saxon King. It was made of wood and was eventually burnt down. It was rebuilt several times. Sir Christopher Wren restored it.
Why not pay St Paul's a visit? One feature you will find interesting is the Whispering Gallery, where you can whisper at one wall, and then hear what you whispered on the opposite wall 107 feet away

B: You should to go there and take a fancy to the exhibition for sure.
A: I’m very excited about it ! What about its history? Unfortunatelly, I know nothing about it
B:Marie Tussaud was born in Strasbourg, France. She created her first wax figure in 1777. Other famous people she modeled at that time include Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Benjamin Franklin. Madame Tussaud's wax museum has now grown to become a major tourist attraction in London. It has expanded with branches in Europe, Asia and America. Today's wax figures at Tussaud’s include historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and famous murderers.
A:Whose figures did you like most?
B: Oh! I liked lots of them. But I was greatly impressed by the figures of the Royal Family.
